About the Opportunity

Prodigy Group is seeking an experienced Construction Senior Estimator to join our Estimating team. This role involves independently managing project bids and tenders utilizing strong local industry-based experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Prodigy in winning project opportunities in various sectors of the industry.

We are a North American Construction Management firm based in Toronto, Canada, with offices in Vancouver, Montreal, and Chicago. Our company specializes in Institutional, Retail, Hospitality, and Corporate construction, focusing on the North American market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage moderately complex projects and maintain Client relationships.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with specialty subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support Prodigy's core values.
  • Research historical tendering and award data, compiling information requested in an organized and clear format for team reference and use towards strategizing bid/tender opportunities.
  • Research and communicate data on construction industry labor and material cost trends.
  • Maintain and constantly update Tender/Supplier lists according to varying project and company requirements.
  • Thoroughly review bid/RFP invitations, as well as public/private tender sites/forums, and clearly and accurately present information to Prodigy senior leadership team.
  • Manage and be responsible for the bid/proposal process and bid/proposal submission.
  • Ensure the flow of project information is properly maintained and documented.
About You

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and time management skills, demonstrating a high degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong knowledge of construction documents, construction science, sequence of work, construction contracts, and Ontario building codes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retail, hospitality, institutional estimating experience.
  • Industrial and mid-high rise residential estimating experience.
What We Offer

Competitive base salary: $95,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Yearly bonus structure.
