The Fort McKay Group of Companies LP is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at the Kearl Oil Sands Site. As a Dozer Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain dozers to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and walk-around inspections prior to operating equipment
  • Operate dozers on various surfaces to raise or lower terrain as specified in the scope of work
  • Adhere to all Fort McKay Group of Companies policies and procedures, wear/maintain all PPE, and complete any Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA) and control hazards related to the scope of work
  • Assist Labourers or other Operators as needed

Requirements:

  • Completion of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Retention of a valid Class 5 driver's license
  • 3-year Drivers Abstract
  • Experience with D8 to D10 dozers
  • CSTS and OSSA or BSO or CSO certification
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English
