Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse
Job Summary:
Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in the Medicine Program at the Cortellucci Vaughan Site. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interprofessional team to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide holistic, patient-centered care to patients with complex care needs.
- Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Address and resolve issues in a productive, respectful manner.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive environment for all through compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Enrolled in or successfully completed the IV Therapy Course.
- Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical Nurse Diploma from an approved nursing program.
- Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
- Member of the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO).
- A minimum of 1-year recent nursing experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse in an acute care setting within the past 3 years.
