**Employee Compensation Specialist Job Description**

The Government of Alberta is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Employee Compensation Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for processing payroll documents, administering pay services, and ensuring accurate data updates to the 1GX system.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

  • Commencing and orienting newly hired Ministry employees on the government payroll system.
  • Remaining current on all ongoing changes to payroll and benefits administration and processing by reviewing updates to related manuals, production notices, etc.

**Required Skills:**

  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to work within a team environment in a courteous and co-operative manner.
