About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Via Road Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Logistics and Record-Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping and handling.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week.
