Storekeeper, Facilities Manager

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for managing the inventory of facilities resources, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to the Parts Department's main and satellite warehouses. You will work closely with Facilities Planners, external suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory levels, perform regular audits, and participate in quarterly inventory counts.
  • Source stocked and non-stocked items through various suppliers, seeking potential new suppliers as needed.
  • Work closely with Facilities Planners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to warehouses.
  • Perform mailroom duties, including billing campus customers and ensuring timely receipt and delivery of campus mail.
  • Operate USask passenger vehicles and warehouse equipment as required, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in the RFP process to rate proponents and select successful contract recipients.
  • Deliver items to various locations across campus, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Assist in reviewing inventory levels, making recommendations for changes to stock levels, and suggesting reorder points.

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of experience in a complex and dynamic multi-purpose facility or industrial operations setting.
  • Relevant post-secondary education, preferably in a business or finance-related field.
  • Valid Province of Saskatchewan driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Forklift training and certification will be provided.
  • A recent successful criminal record check is required.
