Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team at John Brooks Company. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for executing high-quality pressure welding using GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute high-quality pressure welding using GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) processes, ensuring consistent precision and craftsmanship, with all welds subject to RT (radiographic) inspection.
  • Read and interpret drawings as per specifications, shop instructions, and quality control procedures.
  • Safely position, fit, and assemble a range of substrates, including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Carbon-to-Stainless, and Aluminum, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
  • Perform hydrotesting procedures as applicable.
  • Transport and/or position material and equipment to and from work area manually by hooking for overhead crane or by using floor operated overhead crane or forklift.
Requirements
  • Proven commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Minimum 2 years of applicable welding experience; required.
  • Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Successful completion of MDA welder testing to obtain tickets per MDA procedures is required.
  • Basic understanding of blueprint reading weld symbols.
Work Environment
  • Shop (fabrication) environment with exposure to deadlines, multiple demands and priorities, multi-tasking, and interruptions.
Shift
  • Monday to Thursday – 7:00am to 4:30pm.
  • Friday – 7:00am to 11:00am.
