Job Overview:

Highway King is seeking a skilled Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team. As a Class 1 Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating straight or articulated tractors weighing over 4600 kg, with three or more axles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate tractor units and trailers, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Oversee loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring secure transportation and compliance with regulations.
  • Perform Driver Vehicle Inspections as per regulations and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to perform small roadside repairs if necessary.
  • Record trip information as per Bill of Lading, Trip Envelope, Expense Forms, Hours of Service.
  • Engage in Dangerous Goods Transportation or HazMat Goods – Training provided.

Requirements:

  • Commercial License with Air Endorsement.
  • Fluent in basic English.
  • Copy of Abstract including Commercial Experience.
  • Preference given if Mountain Driving Experience held, but not necessary.
  • Consideration given to New Drivers when teamed with experienced Driver.
