We operate two manufacturing sites in Ontario and have supporting warehouses and sales representatives across Canada and in the Northeastern United States.

We're seeking a Day Shift Assistant to join our team in Elmira, ON. This role reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining a high level of safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Providing support to operations and maintenance staff as required
  • Becoming proficient and competent in all aspects of site operations
  • Adhering to all CCC management systems, quality control policies, and TDG regulations
  • Upholding 5S housekeeping practices
  • Working occasional 12hr shifts for vacation or emergency coverage
  • Completing bulk acid loading/unloading into trucks and railcars
  • Performing railcar inspections and preparations for loading/unloading and shipping
  • Completing packaging depot operations: filling carboys, drums, and totes with acid products
  • Operating the 50% sulphuric acid system as required
  • Accurately completing lab testing and paperwork associated with packaging
  • Effectively communicating with customers, contractors, and neighboring facilities as required

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Grade 12 High School Diploma
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment would be an asset
  • Valid forklift license would be an asset
  • Valid 4th class power engineer ticket or willing to obtain through self-study
