Job Summary
Canada Post is seeking a reliable and skilled Mail Service Courier to join our dynamic team. As a temporary, on-call driver, you will play a vital role in delivering mail and packages to customers across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload postal vehicles while ensuring mail and Canada Post property are secure and safe.
- Collect, sort, and deliver mail and packages to customers.
- Operate portable communication devices to stay connected with the team.
- Perform regular vehicle safety checks to ensure a safe driving experience.
Requirements
- A valid Class 3/D driver's license with the appropriate provincial air brake endorsements.
- A safe driving record for at least 3 years, with a recent driver's abstract or commercial driver's abstract dated within the last 30 days.
- The physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb).
- The availability to work on short notice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer service and professional driving in commercial delivery.
- Experience driving a 5-ton truck or larger.
