Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Truerock interior systems ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, finishing joints, and ensuring a smooth and durable finish.

Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to create a solid foundation for our interior systems
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a seamless finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and ensure a professional look
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, ensuring a sturdy and secure installation
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry, ensuring a smooth finish
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound, creating a strong bond
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to work in a noisy and outdoors environment
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Reliability and ability to work as part of a team
