Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our Surrey, BC team. This role involves close collaboration with the Finance Director and Controller to maintain accurate financial operations and support our company's continued growth.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank accounts.
  • Process payroll for Canadian employees; familiarity with US payroll is a valuable asset.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring compliance with established workflows and controls.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage vendor payments, and support budget tracking.
Reporting & Compliance
  • Generate monthly financial reports, including cash flow statements, profit and loss reports, and balance sheets.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with year-end preparations, audits, and other compliance-related tasks.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing or related industry.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 is required.
  • Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with Canadian payroll (mandatory) and US payroll systems (an asset).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
