We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advancement Officer to lead our fundraising efforts. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young Canadians and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.


Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations. You will work closely with our leadership team to build relationships with key stakeholders and cultivate donor support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to secure major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations
  • BUILD and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, board members, and staff
  • CULTIVATE and steward donors to ensure long-term relationships and growth
  • MANAGE a pool of prospects and donors to maximize fundraising opportunities

Requirements/Qualifications
  • A post-secondary degree in a fund development, communications, or business discipline
  • At least 7 years of related experience, including at least 5 years of experience with a record of success soliciting and securing major gifts
  • CFRE designation an asset
  • Knowledge of the national business community and corporate social responsibility practices
  • High level of proficiency with Raiser's Edge, research tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience fundraising in the charitable sector or education institutions
  • Bilingual (English-French) an asset
