Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at Sotera Health. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and installing control systems for industrial irradiators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement control systems for industrial irradiators, including PLC and SCADA systems with SQL Server components.
  • Work with customers to understand and document requirements, and provide on-site supervision during installations.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with other systems and processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and customers, and stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, and 8-10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience with industrial automation, Allen Bradley Guardlogix PLC logic and programming, Wonderware HMI/SCADA programming, and SQL Server database management.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with ability to prepare reports and technical documents.
  • P. Eng certification and experience with quality systems, such as ISO 9000.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work in a combination of office and industrial environments, and occasional shift work on evenings and weekends.
  • International travel may be required, and must be willing to complete all required training and certification as a Nuclear Energy Worker.
