About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Jia Maintenance. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our building and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Balance rent roll and perform minor repairs on appliances
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Supervise other workers and perform safety and security checks
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle repetitive tasks
  • Physically demanding role requiring handling of heavy loads and bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling
  • Steel-toed safety boots and safety equipment/gear required
