Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our Diagnostic Cardiac team at Kelowna General Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and related duties while working collaboratively with Radiologists, Cardiologists, Physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and verifying requisitions from Physicians for diagnostic ultrasound procedures
  • Performing all diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established standards, procedures, and protocols
  • Organizing workload according to exam priority and equipment availability
  • Maintaining patient care and safety by ensuring procedures adhere to department standards, policies, and protocols
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in cardiac ultrasound imaging and have excellent communication and teamwork skills. They will also have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $40.83 to $50.94 per hour, effective April 1, 2024.
