About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architect to join our Runtime team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing critical components of our production kernel and user-mode drivers, their APIs, and the corresponding toolchain. You will work closely with hardware engineers and fellow software engineers to craft elegant solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software that interacts with our chip, ensuring seamless collaboration with hardware engineers and software developers.
  • Identify and alleviate functional and performance bottlenecks to achieve scalable and reliable software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project goals and scope, providing technical leadership to teams spanning both hardware and software development.
  • Contribute to large open-source projects, utilizing version control systems, bug tracking, branching, and merging code.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of software engineering or related work experience.
  • Proven expertise in software design, debugging, and performance analysis.
  • Deep understanding of system-level architecture, including memory hierarchies, PCI Express, DMA, CXL, RDMA, and networking.
  • Familiarity with various CPU architectures, including x86, ARM, and RISC-V.
  • Experience with Linux driver or Linux Kernel development.
  • Excellent C and C++ programming skills.
  • Ability to detect, diagnose, and resolve performance issues.

Salary Range

$180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience.
