About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team at Minera Yanacocha. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance on surface instrumentation equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve issues with surface instrumentation equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements of instrumentation equipment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with OHSA, Corporate, and PGM Environmental Regulations, Safety and Sustainability Standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other departments and teams to achieve organizational goals, providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
  • Licensed Instrumentation Technician: Possess a valid Instrumentation Technician license.
  • Trade Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of trade experience, preferably in the Mining or Manufacturing Industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in electrical drawings, computer skills, and knowledge of Windows Software, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Eligibility: Eligible to work in Canada.
Working Conditions
  • This position is located at our Dome site, part of Newmont's Porcupine Mine.
  • Work a 4x3 schedule, requiring residence near the mine site.
