We are seeking a skilled Contractor Estimator to join our team at Atlantic Roll Forming Inc.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements, and preparing estimates for general expenses and overheads.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
- Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads, including labour, materials and equipment costs
- Develop and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bid forms to clients
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and timely project completion
- Maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors to ensure efficient procurement and delivery of materials
- College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field
- 2-3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
