About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Contractors Estimator to join our team at Atlantic Roll Forming Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements, and preparing estimates for general expenses and overheads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Costing
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
    • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms
    • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
  • Contract Management
    • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
    • Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College/CEGEP diploma
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Language and Work Environment
    • English language proficiency
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
