About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our team at Sunset Cafe. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Handling: Maintain a high level of food safety and handling skills to prevent contamination and ensure the quality of our products.
  • Inventory Management: Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials to and from storage areas, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Machine Operation: Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, and feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers.
  • Packaging and Quality Control: Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, and check products and packaging for basic quality defects.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in your work.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
