Job Title: Bakery Assistant

At Sunset Cafe, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Bakery Assistant to join our culinary team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our bakery products are prepared and packaged to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food safety and handling skills are essential in this role. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment and adhering to all health and safety regulations.

• You will transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials as needed.

• Your attention to detail will be crucial in measuring and dumping ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines.

• You will also be responsible for feeding flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers and manually packing goods into bags and boxes or other containers.

• Quality control is a critical aspect of this role. You will check products and packaging for basic quality defects and ensure that all products meet our high standards.

• Finally, you will be responsible for cleaning machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• This role involves repetitive tasks and requires a high level of attention to detail.

• You will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

• The role is physically demanding, and you must be able to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
