About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Showroom Consultant to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a Showroom Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing expert product selection assistance and design advice to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in assessing their needs and directing their product selections
- Develop and build strong relationships with designers, home builders, and architects to grow profitable sales
- Provide customers with quick and reliable quotes and accurate delivery dates
- Meet or exceed monthly product-specific sales and gross profit targets
- Enter orders and quotes in the system, expedite purchases while maintaining proactive communication with customers
- Investigate and resolve customer issues, address short payments and returns in a timely fashion
- Maintain product literature to ensure the most current information is available to customers
- Drive showroom sales through promotions and maintaining display materials
- Understand and follow all safety regulations at all customer locations and at the Profit Centre
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with customer service or sales; plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showroom sales preferred
- Design experience or certificate an asset
- Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of products on display at the Showroom, able to suggest appropriate products to suit customers' needs
- Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
- Excellent relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
- Able to identify customer needs, provide solutions, and close the sale
- Possess excellent project management skills
- Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
- Intermediate math skills
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with or knowledge of products sold in the plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms
- Experience using Infor or Digital Warehouse
- Experience in the design field/certified designer
