Home Support Worker

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their homes, enabling them to live safely and independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily tasks and self-care activities, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Provide companionship and support to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal-time, ensuring clients receive nutritious food and hydration.
- Perform basic housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Support clients with personal hygiene care, including showering and bathing.
- Assist with basic activities of daily living, such as dressing and grooming.
Requirements:
- Compassion and listening skills, with a passion for making a difference in your community.
- Ability to work every other weekend, with flexibility to accommodate client needs.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, with a willingness to travel to client residences.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with experience working with seniors and/or children an asset.
- Ability to pass or satisfy a Criminal Background screening upon hire.
