Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at SC Johnson Professional. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating various pieces of equipment, completing batch processing, and supporting multiple production lines across several technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain various equipment, including filling, labeling, packaging, and palletizing machines
  • Complete batch processing and ensure high-quality products
  • Work as a member of a team, rotating job assignments and shifts as needed
  • Ensure plant production is safely met, utilizing the most efficient means
  • Train on, operate, and mechanically intervene with various types of low-tech and high-tech equipment
  • Prepare complete and accurate systems records, and understand LEAN principles
  • Adhere to standard processes and help determine appropriate actions for equipment settings and resolution of equipment malfunctions
  • Lead and facilitate problem-solving and loss teams
  • Build technical capability to clean, inspect, and lubricate equipment, identify and fix abnormalities, and perform AM/PM work
  • Move throughout various functions within the manufacturing environment, including production lines, material handling/warehouse, and processing
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environment principles and practices
  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Availability to work all shifts, nights, afternoons, and continental shifts as required
  • Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity
  • Demonstrated strength in problem-solving and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexibility to work within teams and independently with minimal supervision to meet operational goals
  • Proficient in the use and application of MS Office Suite Products
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical diploma or degree
  • 1-3 years' experience in Manufacturing
  • Experience within a Lean Manufacturing Environment
  • Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and troubleshooting
  • GMP experience an asset
