The Licensed Optician is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of eyewear, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen and provide guidance to colleagues.
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail.
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions.
  • Accurately and thoroughly use technology to manage customer transactions and inventory.
  • Proactively identify and resolve customer issues, ensuring satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store appearance, adhering to company standards.
  • Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State licensure.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise and fashion trends.
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service and retail experience.
