Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Service Tester to join our team at Kan Camtek Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing cable signals and associated equipment, diagnosing and locating equipment faults, and adjusting, replacing or repairing telecommunications equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Cable Signals: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Diagnose and Locate Equipment Faults: Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment as needed.
  • Inspect Operation of Telecommunications Equipment: Inspect the operation of telecommunications equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly.
  • Test Installed Telephone Systems: Test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults and ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Analyze Test Results: Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software as needed.
  • Complete and Maintain Test and Service Reports: Complete and maintain test and service reports to document work completed and any issues encountered.
  • Determine Nature, Cause and Location of Trouble: Determine the nature, cause and location of trouble and initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel as needed.
  • Operate Computerized Testing Systems: Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
  • Determine Work Assignments: Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient completion of work.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
