Job Summary

The Mechanical Estimation Specialist will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates of labour and material costs, as well as pre-qualification submissions to present to clients. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

We are offering a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, to attract a top candidate for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for various projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Analyze tenders and recommend awards based on cost feasibility.
  • Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate estimations.
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure project stays within budget.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a related field, such as engineering or construction management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical estimation or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
