Job Summary

AFL is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery at construction sites in a safe and effective manner. This role requires strong attention to detail, ability to work well under limited supervision, and a focus on results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment at construction sites, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform pre-shift inspections, change attachments, lubricate, and refill equipment as directed by AFL policies and procedures.
  • Properly report any mechanical or safety problems with the equipment in accordance with company procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with foreman, superintendent, and coworkers to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as required.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of construction experience.
  • Experience in Utility Construction - ASSET.
  • Ability to understand and work with Utility locates.
  • Capable of working in all temperatures and climates and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to travel to various site-based projects if required.
