About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and creative Hair Stylist to join our team at Artistic Hair Designs. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services to our clients, including cutting, styling, and coloring their hair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and Style Hair: Cut and style hair according to client preferences, using a variety of techniques and tools.
  • Shampoo and Treat Hair: Shampoo and treat hair to ensure it is clean and healthy-looking.
  • Provide Hair Services: Provide a range of hair services, including hair coloring, straightening, and waving.
  • Supervise Staff: Supervise and train junior staff members to ensure they are providing excellent service to clients.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio.
  • Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, reliability, and a team player.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Hours of Work: 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
