About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our Finance Business Technology group, you will be responsible for supporting the financial systems used by the Finance & Accounting department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with IT, accounting, and finance teams to gather requirements for projects and develop future-state processes.
  • Understand finance requirements from an accounting and control perspective to ensure these requirements are met on project initiatives.
  • Support various projects, including system implementation, enhancements, and compliance, by gathering requirements and designing processes.
  • Provide technical support to end-users in finance and accounting with system-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and solve operational system issues related to financial transactions and information.
  • Analyze testing data to ensure test results are as expected and raise issues to the team when results are not as expected.
  • Document processes and standard operating procedures and train users as required.
Requirements
  • An accounting designation or business-related degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, and/or financial systems implementation.
  • Experience implementing and working with Financial Management Systems for a medium/large-sized company.
  • Understanding of accounting and finance processes, including day-to-day processes and month-end processes.
  • Experience in contributing to multiple project initiatives and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Access.
  • Strong proficiency in standard end-user computing tools, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking skills, able to identify areas for improvement and communicate recommendations to management.
