Melloy Industrial Services Inc is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems, including pressure equipment, vessels, and piping.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems, including pressure equipment, vessels, and piping, ensuring compliance with ASME codes, API standards, and NBIC regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop bills of material and shop notes, meeting customer requirements.
- Anticipate and mitigate safety concerns in project constructability, providing solutions to minimize risk.
- Provide technical support and coordination, researching alternative construction and engineering methods.
- Prepare and submit registration packages as necessary.
- Communicate regular status updates of engineering and drawings to management.
- 5 years of experience in pressure equipment construction design.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Engineering.
- Practicing Professional Engineering Member of APEGA.
- Strong knowledge of ASME codes, API standards, NBIC regulations, and ABSA requirements.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, dealing with multiple supervisors and sub-trades.
