Job Title: Celtic Studies Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified instructor to teach a survey of medieval and modern history of Gaelic Ireland, as well as aspects of contemporary Irish Gaelic culture and basic Modern Irish. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Celtic Studies and experience in teaching Irish.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a survey of medieval and modern history of Gaelic Ireland
  • Teach aspects of contemporary Irish Gaelic culture
  • Teach basic Modern Irish
  • Develop and implement curriculum
  • Assess student learning

Requirements:

  • M.A. in Celtic Studies or equivalent
  • Previous university experience in teaching Irish
  • Bilingual (French and English)

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced academic environment and to be able to adapt to changing circumstances.
