Job Summary
The Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining well-defined project schedules for assigned construction projects at the pre-construction and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze contract documents to develop realistic construction schedules, including preliminary schedules, during the procurement phase.
- Work with the Operations team to refine and develop the preliminary master schedule in accordance with the contract documents and further detailing the sequence of all work to be performed.
- Support development of the most effective tracking process and mechanisms to be utilized during the construction phase.
- Analyze, trend, and track project progress; communicate the progress to the project team.
- Track and document schedule impacts and assist with delay analysis.
- Communicate the reasons for schedule variances and propose work-around plans.
- Prepare a final report for the project team highlighting successes and failures encountered throughout construction for inclusion within the project closeout and lessons learned report.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar, and a minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong Primavera P6 and MS Project skills.
- Familiarity with the entire construction process from procurement, construction, close-out, equipment, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Solid knowledge of building construction methods and techniques.
- Ability to work consistently at a fast pace and on multiple assignments concurrently.
