Job Title: Machine Shop Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team at ESS Corp. As a Machine Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate costs and materials for production projects
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to manage production schedules and inventory
  • Prepare bids and production reports to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure workers have the necessary skills to complete tasks
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth production
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed in the machine shop
  • Oversee the operation of company equipment and machinery
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as needed
  • Set up machines and equipment for production
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure timely completion
  • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture products

Requirements:

  • 5 years or more of experience in a machine shop or similar environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
