Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

Town and Country Motel is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of hotel rooms and public areas.
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates for housekeeping supplies and services.
  • Recommend and arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, and renovations as needed.
  • Assist housekeeping staff in performing duties and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a housekeeping or facilities management role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:

Combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Schedule:

35-40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends.
