About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our team at PRT. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery and farm facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, facilities, and vehicles to ensure they are in safe and reliable working condition.
  • Develop and implement a site-wide preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Respond to emergency repairs and troubleshoot issues with electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate and monitor contractor activities for outsourced projects and provide input to management on maintenance and capital improvement proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records and inventory of spare parts, prepare estimates, and order parts as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role, including carpentry and basic welding
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of sound judgment and reasoning skills
  • Great organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificates or training in electrical, pneumatic, heavy equipment, or welding and fabricating
