About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our team at PRT. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery and greenhouses, including the repair and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, facilities, and vehicles
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex systems, including electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical
  • Coordinate and monitor contractor activities for outsourced projects
  • Provide input to management and gather information for maintenance and capital improvement proposals and projects
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role, including carpentry and basic welding
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of sound judgment and reasoning skills
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
