About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at 1803854 Alberta Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construction and Installation: Prepare layouts, measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing Work: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, survey building locations, and levels.
  • Leadership and Training: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials for projects.
Work Environment

As a Carpenter, you will work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work under tight deadlines, and be physically demanding.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience or equivalent.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
