About Our Client

We are seeking a seasoned Institutional Project Manager to lead high-value institutional developments with extensive experience managing complex projects in the education, government, or public sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale institutional development projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and exceptional quality.
  • Oversee all phases of project development, including design, procurement, construction, and closeout, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure project goals and specifications are met.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and projects are delivered on schedule.
  • Conduct regular site visits and monitor construction progress, addressing any issues to keep projects on track and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings with key stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and opportunities, and manage relationships with all project stakeholders to ensure clear communication and high client satisfaction.
  • Implement and maintain best practices in project management, risk management, and quality control, promoting the use of LEED principles in the design and construction phases to support sustainable building practices.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on multiple high-value institutional development projects.
  • Education: A degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and processes specific to institutional projects.
  • Familiarity with provincial and federal regulations, particularly in the institutional sector.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include Gold Seal Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), and LEED accreditation.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
