We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Integrated Stroke Unit/Telemetry department at Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with acute stroke and stroke rehabilitation needs
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and interpret telemetry and cardiac monitoring data
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Recent clinical experience in stroke care and rehabilitation (minimum two years)
- Recent courses or in-services in stroke care and rehabilitation nursing
- Ability to plan, organize, and problem-solve
- Excellent communication and physical assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course or equivalent
- Recent 12 lead ECG interpretation course or equivalent
