Cpask's Securities Division seeks a highly motivated professional to join their team as Senior Securities Analyst for a 6-month term. This role involves conducting regulatory activities, participating in policy committees, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct thorough reviews of public companies' disclosure and financial reporting, communicate concerns and deficiencies to clients, and monitor resolution progress.
2. Participate as a subject matter expert on national policy committees, providing recommendations for regulations and instruments under the guidance of FCAA's senior management and Board of Directors.
3. Assist with budgeting and forecasting for the Securities Division.
Requirements
A successful candidate must possess advanced financial analysis skills, in-depth knowledge of Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. Additional experience in performing external audits, knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and completion of the Canadian Securities Course would be beneficial.
