Job Title: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
Voyago is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our London Transit Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transit division, ensuring compliance with key performance indicators, and driving customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage efficient vehicle utilization and minimize deadhead
- Ensure compliance with contracts, policies, and procedures
- Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation
- Plan, organize, and manage the work of staff to ensure consistency with organizational requirements
- Implement schedule and policy changes
- Oversee effective start-up and overall maintenance of local contracts
- Collaborate with other managers and staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives
- Work with the Health & Safety team to conduct investigations and improve safety procedures
- Follow up on progressive discipline
- Oversee and report on KPIs, deficiency lists, and customer satisfaction surveys
- Ensure proper employee levels by working with the Talent Acquisition team
- Plan and facilitate safety meetings and driver's meetings
- Monitor spending and oversee divisional budget
- Oversee payroll administration
- Mentor, motivate, and resolve conflict management
Customer Service:
- Be the main point of contact for daily operations
- Be integral in quoting new business and ensure compliance to contracts
- Oversee daily operations communication regarding STS portal information, maintenance of process, and validity of data within the dispatch system
- Act as an ambassador for Transdev and increase Transdev's visibility within the community
- Create and build strong customer relationships
Requirements:
- University or post-secondary degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory/management role in an operations environment
- Experience with the transportation industry, specifically para-transit, is preferred
- Full G Ontario driver's license
- Clean driver's abstract and clear criminal record search with vulnerable sector search
- Previous experience working in a dynamic, high-demand work environment with specific deadlines
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
- Willingness to participate in education upgrading as required
- Proven financial acumen
- Ability to travel within Ontario
- Strong business acumen and ability to clearly and succinctly communicate ideas
- Natural people leader who is driven to ensure others are successful
- Professional written and oral communication and impressive interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with London, Ontario, and the surrounding region
- Licensed to work in Canada
