About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Tokic Transport Ltd. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Load and unload goods
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Mountain driving expertise
  • Professionalism in customer service
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid passport
  • Criminal record check
  • Driver's validity licence check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel cross-border
  • Willing to travel for extended periods
  • Willing to travel internationally
  • Willing to travel overnight
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads. The successful candidate will be required to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, and may be required to travel for extended periods.
