About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structures Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our team at CHC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our helicopters by performing maintenance tasks to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Inspection: Perform maintenance tasks on helicopters to ensure airworthiness, including inspecting and releasing maintenance for contracted support.
  • Repair and Overhaul: Follow approved repair/modification procedures for components or aircraft, consulting internal procedures, OEM technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to identify any needed rework before submitting for final release inspection, ensuring that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
  • Test and Evaluation: Perform serviceability tests on repairs using test equipment specified in technical manuals.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete work package documentation after finishing all designated operations and submit completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in-progress inspection and recertification of airworthiness.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Valid Transport Canada AME "S" Type license or Military ACS training on helicopters.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' Structures experience.
  • Skills: Efficient in the use of electronic or paper-based manuals, knowledge of aviation standards, self-motivated, and able to process complex systems and logically think through problems.
  • Physical Demands: Works on shop floor involving frequent lifting of materials up to 30 lbs, frequently operates dangerous machinery requiring safety equipment, and is constantly exposed to noise, fumes, gas, chemicals, dust, or dirt.
