Job Title: Structures AME

We are seeking a highly skilled Structures AME to join our team at Heli-One Canada. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our helicopters.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance tasks to approved repair/modification procedures, consulting internal procedures, OEM technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Inspect and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
  • Ensure that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances, and perform serviceability tests on repairs using test equipment specified in technical manuals.
  • Complete work package documentation after finishing all designated operations, and submit completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in-progress inspection and recertification of airworthiness.
  • Work shifts/weekends as required, and may perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Transport Canada AME "S" Type license or Military ACS training on helicopters.
  • Efficient in the use of electronic or paper-based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information.
  • Knowledge of aviation standards, and minimum 3 years' Structures experience.
  • Self-motivated, able to process complex systems, and logically think through problems.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on quality, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction and follow instructions, and work on shop floor involving frequent lifting of materials up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequently operates dangerous machinery requiring safety equipment such as safety eyeglasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hard hats.
  • Constantly exposed to noise, fumes, gas, chemicals, dust, or dirt, and occasionally exposed to extreme temperature or humidity.
  • Must have the legal right to live and work in Canada.
