Key Responsibilities- Recruit and screen families for participation in our Family Supports program, providing individualized support and advocacy to help them achieve their goals.
- Work with families to develop and implement strategies to improve parenting skills, create a safe and nurturing environment for their children, and enhance their overall well-being.
- Plan and implement programs within our organization's guidelines and performance measures, ensuring a high level of quality and effectiveness.
- Research, develop, and acquire relevant program materials, manuals, and tools to meet the diverse needs of our participants.
- Advocate for families in crisis, providing support and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date program administration systems, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with our team.
- Establish and maintain effective community relationships, promoting our programs and services to achieve programmatic and financial targets.
- University degree in a Human Services field or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience working directly with vulnerable families, with a proven track record of success.
- Previous experience working with diverse cultural groups, high-needs populations, and marginalized communities.
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Suicide Intervention certification (an asset).
- Valid driver's license, clear driver's abstract, and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector and Child Intervention/Enhanced Security check.
