Seismic is seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Scientist II - AI Architect to join our team. As a key member of our AI team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the AI strategy and driving the development of innovative AI solutions across our platform.
Key Responsibilities:- Define and drive the AI technology and architectural directions for Seismic, ensuring alignment with business goals and product roadmaps.
- Work hands-on with data scientists and machine learning engineers to build AI & ML applications, assessing tradeoffs and evaluating options to deliver high-quality and high-value product solutions.
- Lead the integration of AI capabilities across the Seismic platform, including data foundation, conversational intelligence, video analysis, content management, and discovery systems.
- Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to the data science and engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven product enhancements and collaborate on AI product roadmap development.
- Define and analyze key metrics to measure the success of AI initiatives, ensuring high-quality, high-performance, scalable, and reliable solutions.
- 15+ years of experience (or 12+ years of experience with advanced degrees) in data science and AI, with a proven track record of building AI software products and leading technical efforts.
- Strong expertise in AI & ML model and use case development, including hands-on experience with Python or related languages for data analytics, GenAI, and machine learning.
- Extensive experience in SaaS application development and cloud technologies, with a deep understanding of modern machine learning technologies and operational infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure, and familiarity with kubernete-based microservice architecture.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to develop a strong point of view and drive vision forward.
- Bachelor's or master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
