Position Overview

Hospitality Services staff at CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures take a proactive approach to providing a high-quality guest experience. They demonstrate a meticulous and committed work ethic, with a passion for hospitality and positively impacting the guest experience through proven customer service skills.

This is a seasonal job opportunity, with the CMH winter season running from November to April. The position offers an hourly rate of pay, working an average of 16-40 hours per week depending on operational needs. The position will start at 12pm daily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage cleaning responsibilities daily, ensuring the safe handling of cleaning products.
  • Execute the cleaning of all common areas of the lodge, including laundry, cleaning washrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning staff accommodation.
  • Provide a professional, highly organized, and detailed hospitality experience to guests upon their return from heli-skiing, supporting the culinary program with serving, clearing, and cleaning.
  • Act as a leader within the hospitality department, taking initiative, supporting staff, and assisting the Lodge Manager with additional duties.
  • Support the ski program by assisting with radio duty and rescue response.
  • Willingsness to assist other members of the lodge team as needed.
  • Help support implementation of CMH health and safety initiatives.
  • Help support implementation of CMH sustainability initiatives.
  • Train, participate in, and provide support during emergency response situations.
  • Support guests and employees in the field program during area visits, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • First Aid Certificate, preferred.
  • Food Safe Certification.
  • Background in luxury hospitality or fine dining, preferred.

Work Environment:

  • This job is in Golden, BC. Employees are required to find their own accommodation and drive to the lodge 5 minutes from town for work shifts.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job-specific equipment on a constant basis.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.

This position description is an overview of the scope of responsibilities for the role described above. With the evolution of CMH, the responsibilities of this position may change, as may the details that are associated with many of the tasks. During these times of change, this position requires the flexibility and willingness to accept new responsibilities and potentially transfer others.

Compensation

A competitive hourly rate will be provided, along with 4% vacation pay and opportunities to heli-ski as available. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
