Exciting Opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic in Stratford, ON

First Student Canada-Transco is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Stratford, Ontario. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our bus fleet.

About the Position

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing complex issues, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual MTO maintenance inspections
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment issues, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
  • Ensure accurate completion of work orders
  • Participate in mobile emergency services as needed
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Holds an S and/or T license
  • Possess a mechanic's tool set
  • Willingness to participate in ASE certification program (training, testing, and bonuses provided)
